I agree mostly, but we elected 5 guys to the House and only one remains standing. Somehow we picked up Tim Johnson, that was a surprise. The one standing has problems of his own, so I'm jaded against politicians right now. Maybe I'll recover.

Todo Broadbelt of Luckland speaking. I have to disagree slightly. Yes, there were defectors, but the fact that Boehner had so much trouble passing anything still shows the Tea Party is a viable movement. In addition, as I outlined in my post, the GOP knows that even they - who were given a majority rule in the House because of the Tea Party - are upset because they took us for granted thinking the Tea Party was just an extension of the GOP and we would just go along with anything they proposed. So now, we have the MSM, Obama, Democrats, and the Republicans angry at us. In my book, we're doing something right.

The simple fact of the matter is the Tea Partiers are educated about the issues and refuse to be snowballed by politics as usual much to the chagrin of the politicians. We've changed the game and they don't like the rules so they lash out at us.

We're winning, don't let a few defectors or setbacks or name calling doubt our resolve.

Many of the TEA Party guys caved leaving the TEA Party unable to say why America should listen to us in 2012. 87 freshmen were elected in 2010, the TEA list is down to around 25. The TEA focus must shift from finding candidates to holding their feet to the fire. Unfortunately too few can be trusted.

Brian,
To me this sounds like a good reason to start a 3rd party in Illinois. What do we have to lose sounds like no one is in are corner. We are controlled by the Dems and all are representatives down state say their hands are tied. Lets throw those guys out and get some people that will actually fight for us.
