Pandering.
I was watching TV the other day when this commercial came on by General Electric. The commercial spends about a minute explaining how Ronald Reagan used to host a show sponsored by GE, and talked to GE employees. It goes on to show President Reagan during some of his greatest moments and is really a glowing tribute to him. The commercial is well done and it gave me a warm feeling like seeing a friend you haven't seen in years. But then reality sets in and I see a liberal snowjob taking place.
The GE of Reagan's spokesmanship days is far from the GE of today. Today's GE is run by Jeffrey Immelt a man that wants nothing to do with the conservatism that Reagan believed in. In fact, GE also owns NBC, MSNBC, and CNBC - all news stations that worship at the altar of President Obama and has made it their mission to destroy any vestige of conservatism that might exist. At the head of NBC is Jeff Zucker who himself is no friend of the conservative cause.
So ask yourself, does GE really care about honoring Ronald Reagan? More likely, GE knows it needs to shore up its faltering image with conservatives, especially after relentless criticism from the likes of Bill O'Reilly - who has called out GE and NBC for their tireless attacks on the right and for their certain "tingles up the leg" toward a certain current Commander in Chief. I do know this. I just wonder whether Ronald Reagan would have supported GE he knew what kind of mouth piece for the left it and its subsidiaries have become. Watch Bill tell the truth about GE below.
