Frankly Frank

If there is one Congressman that is one walking contradiction, it has to be Rep. Barney Frank.  He missed the House vote to ban federal funds from ACORN because he was attending a Medal of Honor presentation.  Critics have bashed him for it, but I think that honoring our a soldier posthumously for giving up his life for another soldier is a good enough excuse to miss class.

However, even though Rep. Frank claims he would have voted for the federal funds ban to ACORN, he is still wanting an investigation to whether or not the vote violated the Constitution's prohibition of Bill of Attainders.   Trying to have it both ways Rep. Frank?

A Bill of Attainder is an act that has a negative effect on a single person or group.

If what Rep. Frank says is true (which it is not), then is Rep. Frank saying he would have supported passing a bill that went against the very oath he took to uphold the Constitution?  It's thought processes like that which makes me think we are living in a real life version of the movie Idiocracy.

He sure didn't have a problem passing an Ex Post Facto law taxing the AIG execs at 80% on their bonuses.

I wish someday that the people of Massachusetts would wake up and stop sending this guy back to DC every two years.  Truly Idiocracy.
